ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services are designed to help individuals, especially those with autism or other developmental disorders, develop new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
The process of in-home ABA services can be broken down into the following steps:
Meet & Assess
A trained therapist visits your home to understand your child's strengths and areas needing improvement.
Set Goals
Together, you and the therapist decide on specific things your child will learn or improve.
Make a Plan
The therapist creates a personalized plan with activities to help your child reach those goals.
Therapy at Home
The therapist works with your child during in-home sessions, using fun activities and exercises.
Track Progress
The therapist keeps track of how well your child is doing and makes changes to the plan if needed.
Parent Help
You get involved too! The therapist guides you on using similar strategies when working with your child.
Check Progress
Every so often, you and the therapist review how your child is doing and make adjustments.
Learn Everywhere
The goal is for your child to use these skills in different places, not just at home.
